Healthcare and Nursing in Italy

The Healthcare and Nursing Program is a study abroad experience originally designed for students from Armstrong State University who are pursuing a career in the healthcare professions. It combines a study of the Italian healthcare system with present day culture and food, as well as ancient architecture and history. For this reason, this course provides a valuable curriculum extension for any unergraduate or graduate program. Included in the program are visits to the Hospital, Pet-Therapy Lab, Music-Therapy Conservatory and volunteer organization, such as the Green Cross, leader in emergency services and civil protection in Italy. Tours of Venice, Verona, the Lake Region, Florence, Rome, Vatican City, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Sistine Chapel make this study abroad program a complete cultural experince for our students.
