JANUARY, ONE-MONTH PROGRAM

Italian Language

The Italian Language and Culture Program is an intensive four-week program that we originally organized for Johns Hopkins University in the month of January. Thanks to its combination of language and culture, this course can be a valuable curriculum extension for any undergraduate or graduate program. During their stay in Verona, students from different majors will complete the requirements for their Italian Elements 1 Course with an intensive Italian course held in beautiful Verona. An Italian Culture Appreciation Course completes the experience including lectures from professors and experts, on-site activities as well as visits to historic places and relevant locations. Students will actively participate in different activities, from a visit to the Capitolare Library to Dante’s home, and from Slow Food restaurants to the Nuovo Theater in Verona. Each lesson will focus on a topic that students will then see in practice during an on-site visit, all the while putting their Italian skills into practice.
